About Naramata Fire Rescue

For over 50 years the Naramata Fire Department has protected the people and the community of Naramata.

Today Naramata Fire Rescue consists of a team of loyal and community-oriented volunteer firefighters committed to protecting their community. Members may be volunteers, but the heart and soul that is brought to the job is completely professional.

This is shown in their dedication to preparing for any incident that may arise. While our members train every Tuesday night, the commitment goes much further than one night a week.

The primary focus of our training is on courses that are pertinent to the community we protect.

Each member has to meet the basic firefighter qualifications. They may also qualify in: First Responder, hazardous materials awareness & operations, confined spaces procedures and other specialized skills.
