Previous Meeting Minutes;        Read and adopted

                   General discussion regarding 2008 training;
                   -should plan 2-3 months in advance
                   -training calendar distributed to all members
                   -training has to be entered into computer records
                   -training record entry to be done by instructor
                   -to look into training for instructors so more members can participate in instructing
                   -what do we need for training material for the year? IFSTA manuals for recruits
                   -developed training schedule for Jan and Feb

Baker;          Nothing else to add.

Blann;          Would like to have Lts  rank identified on helmets. Grahame will order helmet stickers

Caron;         Nothing else to add.
                   Doroshuk;   Nothing to add.

Foster;         Would like to see OGs or checklists for procedures such as pumping etc.

Kopp;           Will remind recruits about the start of their training

White;         Questions about calls outside our protection area. Should we remain at the hall or proceed toward boundary incase we are given permission to go beyond boundary? Officer/FF in charge will have to make that decision based on the call (ie. Where, what, when, why, etc)

Trovao;       Is recruit training ready to go? Yes
                   Will Officers/ffs be involved in recruit training? Yes please.

Trovao;       -Questions from the membership about the use of E2 for  interior fire attack? E2 not for interior fire attack as it doesn’t pump adequate GPM. E2 can be used for exterior attack (ie thru a window or doorway) car fire, or anything else that is attacked from the outside. It is quit often the first out Engine but should not always be the first out (ie chimney fires or    confirmed large structure fires)

Smith;          Still working on FR Instructor Trainer Workshop in February,  will have to do Spinal Endorsement for those who don’t have it before ITW
